CMS Medicare Telehealth Services

CMS has broadened access to Medicare telehealth services in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, To help rural providers better serve their patients, The Georgia Rural Health Innovation Center at Mercer University School of Medicine has engaged the Georgia Partnership for Telehealth to offer free telehealth services to rural physicians. GPT’s Pathways platform, which is HIPAA compliant, is now available to rural physicians free of charge for six months. Helping Hands Ending Hunger

A Georgia-based charity supporting at-risk families. Volunteer Medical Reserve Corps

The Medical Association of Georgia Medical Reserve Corps (MAG MRC) is encouraging physicians and allied health care professionals – including retired physicians, PAs, APRNs, nurses, dentists, pharmacists, medical students, and fourth-year pharmacy students – to volunteer for its COVID-19 Response Team.

The MAG MRC COVID-19 Response Team is expected to be used in an array of ways in the coming weeks. Chi Memorial

Many members of the community have generously offered to make cloth masks. As we have engaged our teams in planning for a possible surge of COVID-19 patients, we have identified those employees who may wear cloth masks instead of the traditional surgical mask. Therefore, in an effort to preserve our supply of loop masks and to prepare in the event of a surge, we are asking the community for cloth mask donations.  These cloth masks are only used by employees who are working in a non-patient encounter areas. That is, those employees who are not in the vicinity of patients and are working in areas not frequented by patients. In direct patient care areas, employees will continue to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) following the guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Completed masks should be packaged securely and delivered to one of the following locations:
