The mission of Health Connect South is to serve the health community as a platform to promote regional health collaborations.

In response to COVID-19, Health Connect South is actively building out a comprehensive directory (below) of healthcare entities requesting donations of supplies, equipment, staff & financial donations.

We will be working with distribution partners in each state to help circulate this list as widely as possible. Please help your local community and share this site with anyone that may be able to help.

Below is our current list of healthcare needs that we will be continually updating here on our website.

In order to vet any clinical supplies, I would need to have pricing, photos and the following questions answered.

  2. Is the product in the US and available for immediate inspection and possession?
  3. What do you need from us for immediate inspection and possession?
  4. What are the quantities available of each product?
  5. What is the lead time to get the product?
  6. Where are the products manufactured?

HCA

As virus testing increases across our region, we are preparing for an expected surge in patients.  We see this as a long term situation.  It is our desire to ensure that our hospitals are well stocked with critical supplies, so that we can best treat COVID-19 patients and support our caregivers.  As such, we are looking to partner by purchasing available quantities of these excess supplies or accepting donations at our local facilities:

  • Cleaning Supplies
  • Hand Sanitizer
  • Safety Goggles
  • Masks
  • Toilet Paper

In order to vet any clinical supplies, I would need to have pricing, photos and the following questions answered.

  1. Where is the certificate of origin?
  2. Is the product in the US and available for immediate inspection and possession?
  3. What do you need from us for immediate inspection and possession?
  4. What are the quantities available of each product?
  5. What is the lead time to get the product?
  6. Where are the products manufactured?

Chi Memorial

Many members of the community have generously offered to make cloth masks. As we have engaged our teams in planning for a possible surge of COVID-19 patients, we have identified those employees who may wear cloth masks instead of the traditional surgical mask. Therefore, in an effort to preserve our supply of loop masks and to prepare in the event of a surge, we are asking the community for cloth mask donations.  These cloth masks are only used by employees who are working in a non-patient encounter areas. That is, those employees who are not in the vicinity of patients and are working in areas not frequented by patients. In direct patient care areas, employees will continue to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) following the guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Completed masks should be packaged securely and delivered to one of the following locations:

  • CHI Memorial Hospital Chattanooga Surgical Services Entrance B

  • CHI Memorial Hospital Hixson’s Main Entrance
